2000 Mazda 626 with car door latch assemblies. * the consumer had to replace the rear driver's side door assembly in Dec 2004. The problem was that the door could not be unlocked using the door lock switch or the manual switch on the door. The door was completely inoperable. Late last year both front and rear passenger doors began exhibition signs of failure.
: the contact stated the rear passenger door is locked and cannot be unlocked. The dealership determined the motor needed to be replaced. Also, the brake pads must be replaced every 6-8 months, because the brakes do not properly stop the vehicle, there is a loud noise, and the brakes can be felt grinding when applied. There have been no other attempted repairs to the brakes.
: the contact stated the rear passenger door would not unlock and could not be opened. The vehicle has not been seen by a mechanic. Updated 9/22/2006 -
: the contact tried to open the passenger's side door and it would not unlock remotely or manually. She attempted to unlock the door from both the inside and outside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop, where they replaced the power assembly in the door.
