3 weeks ago, the drivers side seat bottom quit working at the same time the seat back is running super hot (as I choose the lowest level selection button). It's so hot, it feels like it's 'burning'. so I turn it off. Even after 10 minutes of turning this off, it is still running hot to warm. It does not turn off or cool down immediately like it used to. This is why I believe that it's possibly a safety electrical issue. I do not know what or which component part(s) that are truly impacted but clearly it's an electrical issue.

Driving normally, suddenly at an on-ramp, car would no longer accelerate. I hit the gas a couple times and engine just revved, and the car was jerky as if struggling to change gear. Anything over 3,000 RPM it would not drive. I also noticed electrical problems with radio and lights at the same time. Thankfully, I was able to coast to pull over. Turned off car and re-started. Test drove the vehicle around the area and it happened again at over 3,000 RPM. Luckily this didn't cause an accident.

I bought a brand new 2015 Mazda Cx-5 it had less than 50 miles on it. That was December 2015. I gave the car to my son, who has been driving it for the last 2 years. He had the oil changed every 5000 miles with the synthetic oil which I was told was the correct way according to Mazda. On April the 24th 2019 the car died on the highway. My son said the lights on the control panel flashed and the car started slowing down and killed over would not start before it died my son said the engine started knocking really loud. Now the dealership wants $10,304 to fix a car that has a bb value of 12,000 to 15000 dollars. They want to replace the engine, fuel injectors, and the fuel pump and it also blew a fuse that the guy working on it said he had never seen happen before. Now that was a Mazda employee, now I have researched this site and this is not a uncommon problem for Mazda, but the dealership won't own up to it. They just say it is past warranty. I don't need this stress.

I started the car and went inside of the house and forgot the keys and went shopping, when I came out the car wouldn't start because I didn't have the keys. Why would the car run with out the keys" is this a defect"

Driving on hwy 41 going South from racine into Chicago area late morning, my son in law was driving going about 55. All the lights on the dash went on! every single one was lit up so he pulled to the side of the road and the car would not shut off, the electrical system was just frozen, things that were on stayed on and the things that had been off would not go on. After approximately 30 of sitting at the side of the road waiting for assistance (it was over 90 degrees that day) I was finally able to shut the car off. After consulting with a mechanic via phone I started the car. It started right up and the only light on was check engine. We drove to our destination, parked the car for the night and the next morning it was like nothing ever happened. No check engine light, not a sign of trouble. We drove home with no issue. I found someone else with the same issue on this website and took that information to the dealership. They found that the ground wire in the front had been painted over at the factory resulting in a faulty connection.

This is the second occurrence of the same issue, but while driving the vehicle at highway speeds, all dash lights illuminated (check engine, turn signals, temp warnings, etc) simultaneously and the information screen displayed an alert "engine inspection required". the incident also resulted in a loss of power steering/heavier-than-normal steering effort and brake warning indications, on the first instance (July 10, 2014), Mazda roadside assistance was contacted and the vehicle was towed to the dealer with no fault/cause found. On the second instance (July 15, 2014), the vehicle was driven directly to the dealership. Technicians were able to diagnose the issue to a loose ground connection in the passenger front fender well.
