This has been an on going issue. This started approx 1 month ago. You would stop at a safe location, turn the car off, wait a couple of minutes and start the car. Power steering was back. It has gotten worse and appears to have now failed completely. My son drives this vehicle and almost crashed the first time it happened. It is in for repair currently. Cost is outrageous. Should be a recall for this problem. I see where there is a recall for the same problem on same make but 2008-2009 models.

Today while driving on the interstate, in a terrible thunder storm, my power steering went out. The warning light came on although I didn't have to look it up because I could immediately tell that it was out. I had noticed in weeks leading up to this event that my power steering had sounded odd.
