Driving on highway and couldn't accelerate then car died out and shut down. Took it to Mazda dealer which had no explanation to how or why engine was blown. It was a 2005 Mazda 6 3.0 L V6 that had around 69,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2005 Mazda 6. the contact attempted to accelerate from a stop, but the vehicle failed to move. The engine automatically shut off and the vehicle appeared to switch to accessory mode. The lights on the instrument panel illuminated, but the engine was not running. The vehicle was shut completely off and restarted. The vehicle began to operate normally, but the contact stated that the transmission delayed and shifted roughly when turning corners. The vehicle has previously experienced transmission failure, but it never shut off while driving. The current and failure mileages were 22,200.

2005 Mazda 6 6 cylinder with 61000 miles, needs new engine. The only sign was a screech noise a few times, took it to an auto shop, where they checked the belts, and we could not reproduce the sound. Started a minor oil leak, and less than 4 days later engine failure, and the dealer says it needs a new engine. Just out of warranty. Mazda dealership says the oil looks black and indirectly told me that I probably did not do regular oil services, which is untrue. I just did not use the dealership. Contact the Mazda corporate, and they said they will investigate this problem, but have not received any response. I am totally disappointed in this vehicle, who I nursed and mostly did longer distance driving. The dealership repeatedly said that the car has a lot of miles on the odometer for its two years old. Never had any vehicle who disappointed me like this! expensive lesson for me and Mazda have not been helpful at all. Every communication have been really vague and every person which I talked to made sure that I that I know that the car have not been maintained by the dealership and stressing the fact that the car does not have any warranty. Not any real help from the Mazda dealership except giving me the expensive quotation for a new engine. Did not offer to take up the issue with Mazda corporate even though the car is fairly new and well taken care off. The warrant just expired a 1000 miles ago. Any one with a similar experience of engine failure in a relatively new car?

2005 grand touring gets stuck in gear while driving. The vehicle became stuck in gear three time while driving on the freeway. The consumer took her foot off the accelerator yet the vehicle continued to move at 60 mph. The consumer pressed the brake pedal but the vehicle continued at 60 mph. The consumer put the car in manual 6 speed and the vehicle bucked then worked normally. As soon as the vehicle was put back into automatic mode the gears became stuck. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but they were unable to duplicate the problem. The consumer noticed condensation on the inside bottom of the windshield. The check engine light illuminated due to failed throttle body. The radio experienced problems. The left rear wheel was bent and caused vibration while driving.

I purchased what I believed to be a brand new car on December 13, 2004 the car I purchased is a 2005 Mazda 6 I did not no at the time that the car I believed to be new had 1,610 miles on it, I believe he sold me a demo which is also a part of my complaint, on 2-4-05 my brand new Mazda broke down, and now needs a new motor, it was towed on 2-4-05 and taken to white plains Mazda, white plains NY on 2-8-05 where as of this 2-17-05 it is still in the shop awaiting a new motor, to which I have every intention on taking said vehicle when it is repaired back to place of purchase, I believe that maybe they might have even turned back the odometer, I wish for this to be noted so therefore maybe Mazda down on hillside avenue, in jamaica queens will not do this to anyone else. Also how does a brand new vehicle purchased in December break down the first week in February.
