The engine stops at odd intervals, sometimes when moving, sometimes when idling. Mechanics have been unable to pin-point the problem. Most of the time the engine can be re-started after a few minutes; at other times it flat refuses to start for hours. The ignition seems to be OK, there is a healthy spark whenever a wire is removed from a sparkplug and starter is engaged. Mechanics have replaced at least two expensive components (hundreds of dollars) in attempts to correct the problem, to no avail. It is my hope that someone else has had the same problem and has managed to come up with a solution, and that they will respond to my complaint. Under the present conditions I cannot rely on the car for dependable transportation.
