After a working day, it was impossible to restart the car. This mechanism, "steering lock" is part of the anti-theaft system. Impossible to turn the keys into start position. Steering was also locked. Frustrating, I had to be towed to the dealer and way the day after to get the part and have the car fixed. According to the dealer, this problem is odd and thus is not occurring often! Part of the CanOpen netword, this component (steering lock) has to be configured by Mercedes Benz to fit with the vehicle's signature.
