On 3/3/2019 our 2013 Mercedes C250 lost braking capability while exiting the highway in Birmingham at high speed, due to a failed vacuum pump. Great pedal pressure was required to achieve even very minimal results. It could have been highly disastrous if emergency braking had been necessary! Fortunately the exit ramp had a pretty good uphill grade! Had to get a tow to the dealership, after it was closed, and hoteled it for the night. AAA covered the tow, a rental car and the tow since Mercedes was closed.
