Why didn't the dealer tell me this when I purchased the car? according to www.airbagrecall.com, it was 2 recalls on the air bags last year 2016, so they knew it was a recall. I could of had and accident and been hurt real bad. I am very upset with the Mercedes dealer and prestiage auto in Rhode Island. I will be taking further actions about this problem. I just found out about the airbags on December 23, 2017.
Takata recall. My car was recalled 3+ years ago and despite my constant follow up the parts are never available. I've complained direct to mbusa. They have no interest and treat these calls as an annoyance. I can't sell my car and I try to avoid driving it. There hasn't been an actual incident but I don't know what else to do. Takata recall my vehicle currently has an active recall for the airbags, after being instructed to contact a local dealership to have the problem fixed, I contacted Mercedes Benz of jackson. I was told that they did not have the parts in at that time, which I understand. I asked if they could order the parts and was told no and that there was nothing that they could do for me. My understanding is that if my car has a defective part, the dealership is to get the part to fix it. Being told "there's nothing we can do for you is not what I needed to hear, knowing that I am driving around in a car with a bad airbag.
Takata recall -- I have been receiving recall notices from Mercedes Benz corporate in atlanta, ga, for years. Every time I take my vehicle to the dealership for service, the replacement airbags are not available. I have been tossing the old letters when I receive a new one (the latest one is date April, 2016). This has been a serious concern of mine; in that, I am the primary driver of this vehicle and the airbag problem is on the driver's side. I am disabled and have serious problems from radiation/chemo on my left upper side (stage 3 breast cancer). My ribs break very easily and have (on one occasion broken from severe bronchitis). I have not felt safe in this vehicle since receiving these letters. I now have have severe burns (2nd and 3rd degree) on my left hand and arm. I am almost afraid to drive my car. I am a very careful driver, but when you live in the mountains and medical care can be four mountains (driving time 1 hour, 50 minutes) away, you are exposed to many hairpin turns and the possibility of wildlife running into the road. You never know what is around each corner. I do not drive at night, so the "headlight warning" would not be seen for me. I have never received any projection dates as to when this replacement would be available. I have contacted the dealer (three of them) listed on website and none are able to help me. I do not want to fear driving a vehicle that costs (fully loaded with more upgrades) $47,000. That is a lot of money to feel unsafe. Also, my tire pressure light comes on constantly. I have had this checked repeatedly and replaced tires, as necessary. Mostly the tire pressure light comes on when it is cold outside. I live in monterey, va, in the mountains. It is cold here for about 6 months or more. Please help, debbie recall # 201602003
Takata recall: We have been calling to have our airbags replaced for more than 2 years, they keep telling me they don't have the parts. We are afraid to drive our car.when I call the recall center they say they don't info on this vehicle.
Takata airbag recall -- no indication by Mercedes Benz when airbag would be replaced, not even whether it could take several years. Local dealer asked me to contact their national hotline (1-877-496-3691). No indication when expected replacement is expected to happen. Not even in terms of years!
The dealer(Mercedes Benz tysons ) is refusing to replace my defective airbags even though my air bags have been recalled on airbag recall.com I am afraid of driving a car with defective airbags which is a safety concern for me and my family.

I have tried more than 8 times to obtain replacement airbags for my car. I am repeatedly told that no new airbags have been created "for any vehicle". why is tk holdings Inc. Getting away with this?
"takata recall" I have contacted M-B dealer numerous times about replacing the air bags and he says that he doesn't know when he'll have the parts. Last contact was on Nov.18, 2017.
Takata recall - received notification of recall & notice of tk holdings Inc. Chapter 11 case no. 17-11375 (bls) - I have contacted dealerships in my area and they stated that they have been waiting for parts to replace airbags for over I year and have no idea when and/or if they will be coming in.

Takata recall - I've been waiting for a fix since I was notified in Feb and a 2nd recall in may of 2016. I continue to receive messages about contacting a dealer to have the recall work performed (I have also used the https://www.airbagrecall.com/en/check-your-vehicle site which informs me a "remedy is not available" for either recall, yet when I click "take action", it directs me to contact a dealer). I have contacted my dealer and they continue to claim no fix is available. Why, after this long, is a fix not yet available, and why am I wasting my time to be sent in circles trying to schedule a fix that isn't available.

Takata recall. I would like to complain about inaction from Mercedes Benz on the replacement of my airbags which are known to have an issue that could cause death. Other vehicle manufacturers such as Honda and Nissan are providing replacement rental cars to customers until the client's car is fixed. Mercedes Benz has refused to do this when I contacted them at their corporate customer service number and the car dealership in cherry hill, NJ (who also put the phone down when I asked them how this was okay). I am concerned for myself and my family members since the warning says that air bag deployment could cause death. I would like to see some action against Mercedes Benz for not providing customers with an alternative such as a rental car until they are able to replace these dangerous and defective parts. Please advise on what I should do next as I need this car to get to work and Transport my family every day. Thank you. Please help!
