I hit a bear in Montana in my 2017 Mercedes C300 at 86mph and destroyed the front of my car. The seatbelts deployed and wrenched us into our seats and smoke came out of the front air vents but the airbags did not go off. On the dash the vehicles stated that the airbags in all 4 zones in the car malfunctioned and service is required. Mercedes is stating that the light is from a seatbelt error code but the dash did not say anything about SRS or seatbelts. I do not want to put my family back in the car and do not feel it should be repaired. Please see attached photos of the error messages on the dash. I do not know how I can hit something that hard and not have them deploy. Mercedes is doing an internal investigation but they have not given me the results of that and it has been over 3 weeks. Vehicle was in for a airbag recall not takata related on January of 2018 and this was supposed to have been repaired.

Since I bought in February 2017 brand new 2017 Mercedes Benz C300 convertible in one year of ownership I had to bring my car several times for services like, the convertible top would not work, the mirrors would not fold, the steering wheel would not adjust, electronical issues like connecting my cell phone to the car. ( I had the top got replaced only after couple of months after I purchased the car.) today April 27 2018 I could not start the car in the morning to go to work, the display was showing the key is not detected( had to exit the car couple of times, with the key and try again to start the car until it finally worked).had my top open while was driving to work and once parked the top would not close, and again had to exit the car lock unlock an try again couple of times before if finally closed. I did receive a letter saying that the car was defefected, and that the airbag on the drivers seet may not work, I'll attach the letter ( brought for services) but it's seems that they didn't fix the problem. Also the tire pressure every couple of weeks it's low, and the display would show sometimes that the seet is not firm or steady. I bought a brand new car to feel safe and do not feel that way.

While driving the care, I noticed the seat belt light remained on despite being buckled and the passenger air was not set despite my wife sitting in the seat. I found this odd, contacted the dealership for service and researched if the car had a recall...this car did have a recall and was sold while in active recall status. Federal law explicitly prohibits dealerships from selling a new car if a pending recall hasn't been performed. As, a result, I no longer want this car because the car should not have been sold until the recall was prepared. But, more so because the remedy to repair this car is not until March of 2017.

Takata recall. What is considered to be a "timely manner" for the dealer to fix a car?
