the paint on the hood and roof is cloudy and getting larger

Last Spring I noticed an area on the hood of my car that was cloudy looking. The car mileage I am guessing was 75,000-80,000 . As time has gone on the area has continued to get larger and is also on the front part of the roof.

I finally took it to a professional paint and body shop yesterday and ask them what was wrong with my paint. The gentleman said that the clear coat was too thin in those area and it would continue to get larger. I purchased my first new Mercedes in 1993 and have had Mercedes ever since, but never had one with this problem. It looks awful and what I paid for this car it should of had an Excellent paint job on it!!!

I think Mercedes SHOULD be paying for having this defective paint/clear coat job fixed!!!

Update from May 27, 2016: It just came to me today that the areas of my clear coat on my car ARE the areas that the Body Shop of Mercedes of Knoxville repaired/painted!!! It was NOT the factory clear coated areas that are now bad/cloudy on my car. Original Mercedes cars that are over 20 years old still have nice exterior finishes to them. I had taken my car to a professional paint and body shop and ask them what was with the cloudy area in the pain of my car. The guy came and looked at it and said that it had a too thin coat of the clear coat put on it!!!
