I took my family of 6 to the park and my eldest son was sitting in the 2nd row passenger side. When we parked the car and everybody got out, my son couldn't get the seat belt off his waist and the more we pulled the tighter it got around his gutts! The seat belt would not retract at all and the more we tried to retract, the more it tightened on my sons stomach, my son now puked in the car and seemed almost out of breath. I screamed KNIFE, BOX CUTTER! my wife runs to the front passenger side of the car and grabs a pair of scissors and I cut the damn seat belt. It left a mark on my sons body and he was terrified and scared to hell to ever get back in the car and he now gets scared every time he is told to get in the car and doesn't feel safe putting the seat belt on. He is 7. I googles the recalls and I couldn't find a recall about this serious safety issue. If it was my wife alone, what would have happened to my son? I bought a Mercedes for the safety reputation they hold. Have they gone low on standards? WTF is wrong with this? can't get a seat belt done right? I want to sue and if you know any good lawyers, hmu.
