I purchased my vehicle in feb. of 2004 used w/ 37000 mls. I also purchased the ext. warranty to make sure I was covered should something go wrong beings that it was used. However things seemed fine for a while and i was happy with the purchase until june of 2005. My vehicle made a loud almost sputtering sound from the engine and the dashboard light up with warning signals. so i made it to the closest ford dealership and explained the problem. It took them 4 weeks, a complete teardown of the motor, and what they call a master tech from detroit to find the problem. well we had piston 1 smack the head and caused a spun bearing. The service advisor from Ford said this should be covered in the ext. warranty, so they contacted them to file a claim. Guardian the extended warranty co., inspected the motor and denied the claim because the said there was "some" sludge in the oil pan and that voided the warranty due to lack of maintenance. My contract specifically states "if any foriegn materials cause any internal damage then the warranty is void". NO SLUDGE HAD CAUSED A SPUN BEARING, that is due to defects in materials and or workmanship of the parts. Anyway Im pissed because of having to replace the motor at only 50000 mls. and the warranty co. would not pay a damn cent. I also called Ford motor customer care center and explained this to them and that they should pay for this being it is their product and the vehicle is well maintained. Basicly they laughed and said,NO we can not help you.

Any ways I should have know better than to purchase a Ford product beings that I work for a big retail parts co.

FORD DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF THERE CUSTOMERS OR THERE DEFECTS IN THERE PRODUCTS.
