The fan connection melted and caught fire. I was lucky that I was stopped and noticed at the start of the fire, and was able to extinguish the fire and keep it contained to the fan. It could and would have burned the van to the ground. The mechanic did not know why it started. I wonder if anyone else is having the same issue?
