problem #3

Alero 2.4L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

This is something that should be recalled - apparently there have been multiple owners with this problem. The only one that has yet to break is the driver's side. Such a pain to fix and costly to buy new regulators.

Driver side window clamps have broken two times. Neither time were they under warranty.

THE CLAMPS THAT HOLD THE WINDOWS IN PLACE HAVE BROKEN REPEATEDLY. IT IS COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY BUT AFTER YOUR WARRANTY IS OVER, THEN IT IS YOUR PROBLEM TO FIX. I BELIEVE THIS IS A DEFECT OF THE ALERO. I KNOW 3 OTHER PEOPLE WITH ALEROS (ALL DIFFERENT YEAR MODELS) ALL HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION!!! CHEAPEST I HAVE FOUND TO BE FIXED IS 300+ I HAVE HAD THIS FIXED UNDER WARRANTY 3XS. NOW IF THE PART THEY USE TO FIX IT UNDER WARRANTY DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM, THEN I WOULD SAY THAT WAS A DEFECT AND SHOULD DO A RECALL ON IT. I HAVE ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR JUST OVER 5 YRS. THE PROBLEM STARTED ABOUT A YEAR AFTER I BOUGHT IT. I FIND IT STRANGE THAT 3 OTHER PEOPLE I KNOW WITH THE SAME CAR HAVE THIS SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND ITS JUST A COINCIDENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
