We own a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora. On June 9th our car was hauled to walker jones in waycross Georgia because it had stalled, was smoking from under hood, had gas in the oil. We had been told that this car was recalled due to nylon tubing could crack and possibly cause a fire. When we picked the car up, we were charged for this recall....$ $378.62. First we were told it was a recall and there would be no charges. Then they changed it to nope all models but yours is under the recall after it was repaired. Why are all Aurora under this recall 1996-1997 models recalled and not the 1995's" I mean it had the same problem as the other models. Could you please answer my concerns" thank you. A gas leak developed in the engine compartment due to a defective fuel injector rail assembly, which had a crack in it. Two months later, the fuel line developed another leak, this time spraying gas all over the engine, creating an extreme fire hazzard. I did have both of these items fixed before there was an actual fire, at great expense. ($578 the first time and $731 the second time).

Major fuel leak on top of my engine from the fuel delivery system. I am replacing this componet today...my mechanic was visible shaken when he saw the gushing of gasoline from the delivery system. He said I would have a fire anytime...bad system.

While having my oil changed it was pointed out that my fuel line was spraying fuel all over the engine compartment. Very small pin hole but a steady stream of fuel. Upon further investigation found that the injector line was spraying fuel also. I never paid attention before but I can't believe that GM would use plastic for a fuel line anyway maybe this is standard I'm no mechanic but at what GM wants for the parts and then to have them put on maybe I should be. Of course GM is the only place you can buy the fuel parts too imagine that! well hopefully I'm not the only one having this problem and GM will do something about the defects.
