This problem has been on going for about 4 years. Out of the blue, the engine fails to turn over when I turn the key. It might take several attempts but it always starts within 3-4 minutes. I do things like wiggle the key, jiggle the shift lever and move the steering wheel, back and forth and up and down. It occurs sometimes once a month, or twice a week and sometimes twice a day. It seems to be more frequent in recent months. It does however, always start. A mechanic, a few years ago, disconnected the alarm system thinking it could be faulty. The problem occurred again about a month later. Yesterday it happened 3 times. Oh, It usually happens when I am in a hurry to go some where. I noticed a similar gripe by a woman in 2006........ HELP!

Nothing happens when you turn the key to start the car except the gas level goes all the way up to full. After a few minutes the car would start!
