It seems to start fine when the engine is cold but once its warmed up, like when running errands, it will crank over and start but immediately stall. Sometimes, it takes 5 or more tries to get it to catch and stay running. Any suggestions? Its not the plugs, wires, or distributor cap.

So since the new year, our car has been nothing but a pain! It dropped to below zero and now just picks and chooses when it would like to start. First a jump fixed the problem, then it needed a jump and some HEET, then a jump and HEET weren't enough, then it started just fine the next time, then it died once more and a jump was not enough, then HEET fixed the problem, then it died another day and a charge was not enough initially, but two hours later it started, died on the road, then jumped it and it started right back up and drove with no problems for a few days, and now here we are again. The battery is not dead this time but it appears to be very close, and the tank is 3/4 full....does ANYONE have any suggestions as to what might be the issue? I've been told that it could be the starter, alternator, fuel pump, and everyone seems to second guess when they hear the sordid tale that is the intermittent starting of our 92 Olds Silhouette.
