The contact owns a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The contact stated that she smelled fuel coming from the vehicle. Also, the contact mentioned that the instrument panel failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump module assembly and instrument cluster assemblies needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number 06E091000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 77,000.

There is a strong gasoline odor coming from inside of vehicle. When vehicle is turned on odor is outside, as well as inside of vehicle. Dealership is aware of problem.
