Aztek Rally 3.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

I have two Aztek AWD .At aprox 30,00 miles they started vibrating in all forward gears. Even at a stop light . They are under warranty so I took the first one to the Pontiac dealer in Petoskey ( Fletches ) . They told me the tires were bad and unsafe and needed to be replaced .And charged me $50.00 I had a separate tire warranty so I took the car back to the tire dealer ( Discount tire in Traverse City ) . They found no problem ,but since GM wrote on the bill "unsafe" they replaced the tires and I still have the vibration . Fletches will not refund the money I spent on the new tires ( they told Pontiac they would have if I had bought them from them ) and they will no longer work on my cars even though they are still under the original GM warranty , because they don't have a clue how to fix the vibration .I have Contacted the BBB,( case closed ,unresolved ) no help , The Attorney General of Michigan and the SOS all no help . I have been buying New cars since 1970 and this by far is the worst dealer experience I have ever had . Refusing to work on a know problem and telling me to buy New Tires to correct the problem when It Did Not ,Then not paying for the tires because they misdiagnosed the problem.

Aztek Rally 3.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

I have two 2005 Pontiac AWD Azteks . At aprox 30,000 miles each they started to vibrate .( September 2007 ) When I was called to pick up the car I was charged $50.00 and told the "tires are unsafe ' It is a tire issue . When I purchased the car I also purchased an insurance policy from the Discount Tire Company . I then went to discount tire to have them check the problem . They found nothing wrong with the tires , but since Fletches put on my bill that the tires were unsafe they put new tires on the car for a prorated amount of $203.20 . On the way home I noticed that the car still vibrates . I went back to the dealer and asked for my money back .They gave me the $50.00 back but not the amount for the tires . About a week or so later the other car started to vibrate ( mid October) it has been in now 3 or 4 times nothing has been working for the fix .Both cars vibrate in all forward gears even at a stop light ,yet not in neutral I then called Pontiac .They agreed with the dealer that there is nothing more they can do because they don't know what is causing the vibration. I was told " don't take it back to Fletches they will call me if they find out what to do" . I then told the Pontiac rep " that I wanted my $203.20 back for the tires " He told me he would call Fletches and call me back . I just got off the phone with the Pontiac rep, he spoke to Bob Johnson ( service manager) at Fletches and he told him "they will not give me my money back because I did not buy the tires from Fletches ,if I had they would refund my money .That sounds to me like they were try to take advantage of me hoping that I would have bought the tires from them, not knowing that I had the insurance policy Fletches misdiagnosed the problem at the start ,I bought tires that I did not need. I would like my cars fixed and a refund for the tires I purchased .
