After spending 800 dollars to fix the cracked upper manifold the fuel tank decides to begin rotting away. Nice thing about it is that GM engineered the fuel system to distribute the corrosion to the entire fuel system fairly quickly. All the fuel lines needed to be replaced, the fuel pump, sending unit, and tank all needed to be replaced. I was one of the lucky few who didn't have it go at 50,000 miles like most 3800 series 2 engines do.
