Consumer has been waitng for 3 months to have recall 00V287000 performed. Dealer claimed there were no parts, and no future date was given. Consumer finally had recall repair done, however is requesting reimbursement for prior work done to the egr valve regarding same problems as in the recall.

Vehicle started to overheat; battery had to be replaced 3 times and alternater twice, and 1 starter and wiring replaced. Consumer states a faulty switch caused the electrical failures.

Consumer recieved recall notive 00V-287 for a faulty starter which could possibly cause a fire, the consumers vehicle fails to engage on a regular basis and many components and been repaired/replaced in an attempt remedy the problem but with no success, consumer contacted GMC who said that the vehicle could not be repaired until March 2001. Nlm

Consumer received recall 00V287, however when contacting dealer they stated that parts were not available, failure resulted in voltage regulater failure, consumer is requesting reimbursement for that replacement cost. Radiator failed and was replaced, head gaskets failed and engine was rebuilt.

The recall 00V-287 for the starter has not been repaired yet because there will be no parts available until March 2001, the consumer has replaced two batteries and one alternator and thinks the manufacturer should reimburse her for the alternator. Nlm

After receiving a recall notice for ignition switch vehicle caught on fire. Vehicle had to be towed to the dealer. Consumer asked dealer if fire was caused by ignition switch recall, but dealer told consumer that fire had started at starter, and not at ignition switch.
