I have three complaints on my 2000 Grand Am SE: 1. I just had to replace my intake manifold. It had a hairline crack in it that the dealer informed me had to be a manufacturer default because it couldn't have cracked on its own. I paid $600 to have this fixed in total. 2. my air conditioner hasn't held a charge since the end of 2003. I haven't had that repaired yet so I have no idea what it will cost. 3. my "service engine soon" light keeps coming on. I'm never sure if there is or isn't a problem. One day it's on, the next day it's off. I just don't understand why a vehicle that is only three years old can have so many issues. I have replaced the brakes once and already need to do so again. However, I am very upset about the intake manifold and air conditioner. An air conditioner shouldn't go out on a three year old car. That is just unacceptable. I still owe two more years on the car and am afraid of what will break next. I would like to be compensated for this default on a fairly new vehicle. I do want to say that I just loved my car when I got it, but I don't want to constantly be paying for major repairs on a vehicle that shouldn't require them.
