I was leaving a doctor's appointment. When pulling out of my parking spot the car would not turn right. I turned the wheel back and forth as far as it would go. It would turn all the way left and not go right at all. I backed back into my parking spot. Took a look underneath and did not notice anything wrong. I got back in and tried turning the wheel again. This time the wheel turned both ways. I left the parking lot to return home. On the way home I heard some knocking sounds coming from the front end whenever I drove over a bump or pot hole. Also turning the car to the right did not feel or sound good. I decided to drive straight to my mechanic. In a couple of hours I got a phone call from my mechanic. It turns out the frame was totally rusted out. The frame being rusted out was causing the problems with steering. The car is only ten years old and has 36, 400 miles on it.
