I Recently Bought the car. I loved the way it looked, handled, and how fast it was. I was on a long 10 hour trip when the following occurred. I was driving peacefully at about 2000 rpm's enjoying the sound of the engine and cruising at about 60-65 mph when all of a sudden I noticed a slight hesitation at 65. Just very slightly, but you could feel it with your foot on the gas. A half hour went by, and I came to a town. I was about 3 hours from my house. I slowed my car to about 50mph and tried to accelerate again. The car didn't accelerate. The rev's flew up to 4000rpm to get to 60, and that's as highmph as it would go. I came to a red light and then tried to get going again. I accelerated slowly and found myself going at a blistering 10mph. I couldn't accelerate. Terrified, because I was still 2 hours from my house I tried everything I could to keep going. The car slowly accelerated to about 50 at 5000rpm...I had my foot to the floor, almost red lining. So then I have to stop for gasoline. So I pull into the station and fill er up....filled up, and since there was a car infront of me I put it in reverse...NOTHING....no reverse gear. By this time I knew I had a transmission issue, and I knew it was bad. I drove the car the remaining hour to my house where I parked the car. It had been a long trip so maybe it was over heating???...no. I got back into the car and put it back in reverse. Nothing. I put my foot to the floor and all of a sudden at about 3500rpm it caught and peeled out in a cloud of smoke and dust backwards. Shocked and still reeling from my 3 hour white knuckle terror ride I drove the POS home and parked it. Brought it up to a shop a few days later and after replacing---- shorted out computer... shorted out malfunctioning Mass Air Flow Sensor...and the Transmission I am done with this car. It is very fast. The interior is nice. The cd player worked. But I've had phantom service engine soon lights, clock never worked, water in the trunk, a drivers side window that doesn't go up all the way, it left me stranded in the middle of nowhere a few weeks ago with a "fuse" problem in the main fuse box, and now this. IM DONE WITH THIS CAR!!! Did I mention that the car only has 98000 miles on it? I bought the car not to long ago..about 60 days now. Unfortunately for me I only had a 50/50 30 day warranty..so im screwed and stuck with the total bill ($2000+). The pain and agony this car has brought to me has scared me away from GM for the foreseeable future. I plan on getting rid of this lemon any way possible and buying a Ford Truck. At least they seem to last.
