While using windshield wipers they would stay up and then malfunctioned. Had taken vehicle to dealer. But, dealer stated that vehicle was not under recall. Windshield wiper motor crank failed. Wiper arm piviot failed.

While driving the windshield wipers just stopped. Dealer contacted and repaired the wiper crank in the motor. Incident occurred again on 12-24-97. Repairwork done. Also, headlights go out while driving. Dealer contacted and stated headlight switch overheated and headlamp switch was replaced. Et.

While in use the windshield wipers failed which could cause visibility difficulties and an accident. Dealer will replace windshield wiper motor and arm. Also, neighbor has a 1998 Grand Prix with the same problem, but dealer will fixed their windshield wiper motor.
