Grand Prix 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission

Defective ac delco batteries installed in new vehicles leak acid from the positive terminal (known problem to dealer service department) posing a possible explosion hazard in a confined space (under hood). Leaks contribute to gases under hood and over time build up of corrosion on the terminal leading to arcing. Discovered this while inspecting vehicle during routine preventive maintenance. Ac delco and GM is unwilling to take responsibility for this product.
