The contact owns a 2000 Pontiac gran prix GT. The contact was driving 35 mph and depressing the brakes but there was no response. The contact later discovered that the two brake lines and fuel lines that merged were rusted entirely. The dealer advised the vehicle was not under recall and any repairs would be at his expense. The contact made repairs to the vehicle. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 27,000.
