The consumer was driving and felt a pulling and with out steering, heard a flapping noise. The consumer noticed the left rear tire with no sides coming apart/not completely flat. The consumer feels that this tire is defective and could have caused a deadly accident. The tire was sent to Goodyear, where they said the problem is due to road damage, but the consumer's husband doesn't recall hitting anything. (caused a 1-2 inch slit in the tread) tire size#P2256R16
