Grand Prix V6 3.8L

Car suddenly started cutting off without warning, irrelevant to speed. Got a "Reduced engine power" message after "Starting disabled due to Electronic Throttle Control" message. First dealer said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Second dealer said to replace Throttle Body and Brake Switch after diagnostics completed. They wanted $1600 to do that plus spark plugs. So, i got it home, replaced Throttle Body and brake switch. Car is STILL stalling out without warning. No cough, sputter, lurch...nada. It is happening even when the car is idling in park. I spoke with Pontiac Customer Assistance to no avail...simply telling me to take it back for diagnostics and that any towing, repairs, etc will be at my expense. I WANT to drive my car, but I do NOT want to get hit or stuck in an intersection!
