The contact owns a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix with Goodyear Eagle ls tires, line size P225/60R/16. The contact stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer for routine maintenance at 36,000 miles and the dealer informed the contact that the tread had separated from both rear tires. The contact purchased two new tires but they continued to exhibit a loud, abnormal thumping noise. The contact then replaced all four tires. The dealer advised that the tires were molded incorrectly which caused the abnormal noise. The manufacturer of the tires was contacted where a complaint was filed. The failure and current mileages were approximately 36,000. Updated 10/13/10 the consumer stated two of the tires suffered tire separation. Updated 10/14/10
