I stopped at the end of my driveway and got out to get the mail and newspaper. My 2 year old toddler got out of her carseat and jumped into the driver's seat and put the car into drive. The doors automatically locked and the car started rolling across the street. I could only run alongside in horror as the car drove into a ditch across the street. Fortunately, there was no traffic comng at the time and no one was seriously hurt. That is whe I learned that our minivan could have the gear shifted on our automatic without stepping on the brake. Very dangerous situation for a minivan that carries children all the time.
