: the contact stated while driving 65mph, on newly purchased snow tires, road debris was noticed. The vehicle was pulled to the side of the road for inspection and all four tires showed tread separation on the sidewall. After replacing the tires with the same brand, the vehicle began to operate roughly. While the vehicle was traveling 50mph, it rode as if the tires were uneven. At the local repair shop, the mechanic noticed bubbles on all four tires. The tires were returned to the tire dealer where the tires were traded for a different brand. The tires are made of recycled material and are manufactured by green diamond. The tire size is 215/70/R15.

Upon washing my 2002 Pontiac Montana minivan today, I noticed that the right front tire (general XP2000 GT - P215/70R15) has approximately 14 inches of sidewall separation. I commute 2 hours to work each day on the interstate and would not have noticed this if I had not been washing my tires. My husband inspects the tread and air frequently. I shutter to think what may have happened to me or any of my four children had this gone undetected. I bought this vehicle last fall from a used car dealership. My husband specifically asked the dealer about the tires and was told that the vehicle was GM certified and had at least 50,000 miles worth of wear left on them.
