Peg and insert connection of convertible roof and trunk are rusting on interior. Appears to be caused by alloys in contact without provocation of moisture. I took the vehicle into the dealer (car is 2 months and garaged) and repair service could only clean rust off and lube. The following day the rust returned. The solution would have been to use a stainless steel snapping pin in the trunks receptacles where the peg comes down into contact. GM currently has no recall and the dealer is putting the responsibility on GM and nor honoring my warranty. This is the first year for this model so bugs are to be expected, however no one is taking care of my car while they shrug their shoulders. Ultimately, when these pins which are part of the trunk rust through (they are no thicker than a 3 penny nail) the rook will become detached from the trunk leading to possible injury.
