My car was not on the recall list, yet I am having so much trouble with my ignition, can not turn my key in the ignition. Please advise.

My keys would fall out of my ignition while the car was still running. Also, several times before the vehicle would allow the keys to release while the car was in accessory mode causing the battery to drain. After 3 weeks, a new battery, and loads of frustration a replacement of this part was installed and no issues have occurred since. The repair cost me $197....updated 12/09/15
