THE REALITY OF PORSCHE This is to express my deepest grievance and discontent. Would you take the necessary steps to have a service that fits the brand. Porsche was for me, synonymous of quality and the highest international standards in the automotive industry. Today I found that isn’t true, also, unfortunately my experience is disastrous. You judge better than anyone if the problem lies in its car dealer agency (Porsche San Angel , Mexico City) or the brand itself and its infrastructure. What is clear is that, today, Porsche leaves much to be desired. I bought a 911 Carrera S Convertible model 2012 for a cost of approximately 190,000 USD. Initially the service of sale was "extraordinary", as much so that I was not going by a car and left with one of the best. Not only that, I live in the city of Puebla and bought in Mexico City . To don’t bore you with a long, long history, I will list the sequence of failures and the terrible conclusion: 1. They gave me a car and at the time of delivery a rear window not going up suddenly if, working strange. The surprised salesman told me he did not know very well how it worked the car!!!, at that time there was nobody else working, then I took him ... The fault was corrected with the days , that was the reason to don’t came back, because I live in Puebla City (100 miles away from dealership). 2. The car had been a couple of months and fulfill his 10,000 KM . I read by NEWSPAPER ! ! That there is a "recall " for a problem with a cooling hose . NEVER DEALER CALLED ME ! . So when i take it to the agency, lit a RED message saying that stop the car immediately because the transmission it was overheated, Fortunately i was arriving at the agency ! . The repair took almost 3 weeks. 3. I should have a car cover since more than a year; today i don't have it.... 4. My "Welcome KIT, and service evaluation", has never arrived. 5. Almost eight months ago, I was traveling to Guadalajara and in the freeway one fascia came off. Arriving to city of Guadalajara at PORSCHE GUADALAJARA, the service was BEST! They told me fascia fell because screws and even the other was about to fall and that the warranty applied . Also they asked me if I had already reprogramed the gearbox, I said no, They asked me why, and the answer was clear : PORSCHE SAN ANGEL (Dealer), NEVER CALLED ME to tell me there was a new "recall ". I could leave it there or take it to the City of Mexico. I decided to take him to Mexico City . 6. I asked submit a review of the following: a. The warranty applying to fascia, that told me in PORSCHE GUADALAJARA b. A warning triangle bracket that I broke accidentally c. A noise in the hood that has since new d. A noise in a vent that makes it annoying air conditioning e. Screeching tire brakes having from the first day I left the agency ! f. Service for 20,000 KM, I only had 17,000. 7. This is where the service is definitely became WORST ! ! a. It took "2 months" to take me back the car, arguing the fascia problem was not a warranty. They argued the problem was by misuse, the car is a SPORT CAR!!, and has no damage, how can lost a screw and argue that it was by a misuse!! b. They asked the name of person who said it was warranty in Porsche Guadalajara. I gave it and they refused to apply the warranty, again. (Please is a small piece of plastic in a 200 Thousand Dolars car!!!, is Porsche so miserable to don’t pay for this spare? i thought…) c. Porsche San Angel Agency demands to talk with Porsche Guadalajara to ask if they said the fascia problem it was a warranty and asked me to contact personally the people in Guadalajara!!! d. I had to travel to Guadalajara!! (Believe it or not!!) to communicate both dealers, but in Porsche San Angel nobody can take the phone call!!!. And so, I took a business card from Guadalajara manager, who said me: IT WAS CLEAR, THAT’S A WARRANTY!! e. I sent my assistant to the Agency San Angel with business card from Guadalajara manager to them call him. They (Porsche San Angel) just said, OK. (That’s all…) f. In my displeasure with the dealer. I forbade any repair to the car other than the warranty. g. After endless calls back and forth, they finally announced that my car was ready (two months later) but… They can deliver it, but I must paid over 1,000 dollars for the service!. I refused because I did not accept any charge, only warranty. The service manager threatened to keep my car until I pay. I demanded my car or my lawyers would sue and they recovered the car, that I not request for the service he had done, before which after a lengthy discussion in which the service manager gave me a deal as if I were your employee, he threatened me again saying he would remove all new parts used in the car, and the oil left me, because he had not the oil removed! And the fascia repair WAS NOT GUARANTEE, was a FAVOR to me! The only thing that they doing!! After all the absurd and rude conversation given to me, I demanded to speak to the manager. During all this time, I talked with the salesman, who only said me: Mmmm, bad… I can’t do anything, I KNOW HOW BAD IS OUR SERVICE!!!! The Manager politely asks me to explain the whole story, contravening the service releases daily telling me that I was looking for MANAGER to give me an explanation for everything that happened. The manager only told me that she didn’t know about my problem!! They finally delivered the car at no cost, with the following exceptions: The sound in the hood has NOT repaired, and had nothing to do with cost, was a guarantee. The sound in the vent has NOT repaired, and had nothing to do with cost, was a guarantee. The sound in the brakes has NOT repaired, and had nothing to do with cost, was a guarantee They never had the plastic that I broke ( 2 months). Not even asked and if they would pay. "INTERESTINGLY" COULD ONLY DO WHAT THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME. And here the most serious, sad, angry, worst, bad… of the story: When drove my car from the agency to home, appear two messages on the board: " FAILURE : SYSTEM START / STOP OFF, PORSCHE go to service " " SYSTEM FAILURE PSM PORSCHE go to Service " How is it possible that a brand like PORSCHE allow agencies like PORSCHE SAN ANGEL manage the brand? How is it possible that the PORSCHE MANAGEMENT SAN ANGEL is blind to their lousy service? How can fail the car immediately out of the agency where he spent two months in service? How can ignore a new car in service for almost 2 months? How can PORSCHE ignore a 911 Carrera S user? Where are the brand standars? How can appear many problems in a brand new car, in a Carrera 911S car??? Where are the customer satisfaction procedures? How can not evaluate a Dealers? How can center you efforts in sales and not in global quality? Today I still wonder and asking myself what kind of car I bought for almost 200,000 dollars? And on top of my bad luck with the worst dealership I meet in my life, or is this the PORSCHE Car Agency standards? As well, the car has saved more than a month because I went traveling and I have to start over a fight with PORSCHE for a car with 17,000 KM which is the highest range of its cars , where the prestige of the brand seems out like a fairy tale and where reality is more like a horror story . But everything has a point of comparison , I have had many car brands such as VW , Toyota , Chrysler , Ford , etc. and been through premium brands such as Audi , BMW, Mercedes Benz , etc. . Porsche being, without doubt, my worst experience in auto service and car quality, contrary to what can you believe. I have promised to myself to publish my story in as many ways as I can for avoid anyone to suffer what I was spending so much in angry, money, time and disappointment
