One thing the 2008 does share with the 2007 is a recall of a busted gear shifter cable which can make it look like your car is in park, when the transmission is still engaged. You can only imagine what kind of fun that causes.

If you look into problems that have been reported concerning the Aura you'll realize that many of them are the same. GM should replace these problem children for free because this tells me that they knew about it along and anticipated the problem going into the future. I am not for more government intruding into our lives, however, industry has to be monitored more closely and when they allow problems to go ahead, knowingly, then they should be forced to pay.
