One thing the 2008 does share with the 2007 is a recall of a busted gear shifter cable which can make it look like your car is in park, when the transmission is still engaged. You can only imagine what kind of fun that causes.

This is most annoying, the dealership wants to charge me a hook up to the analytics machine ($120.00) to tell me what the code is and the subsequent fix for the issue.
I am seeking information on the frequency of this issue occurring with other Saturn Aura (XE's) 2008 and what is/was the fix and cost.
