I too have a gas/fuel line leak. They tell me by my left wheel. The car is not that old, only 10 yrs. I have had much older cars than that and have never had any leaks. This was after the dealer fixed the fuel leak from the tank. I can provide the vin # if Saturn needs it. Is there a recall for this?

After noticing that my fuel pump was leaking from up on top of the tank. I dropped it and found the lines cracked at the joint. I purchased and replaced it and then raised the tank back up in place. Turned the key forward to prime the line and turned it over. Fuel started spraying everywhere!! That's when i noticed the fuel line to the engine was corroded right at the bend and a little after by the bracket. I replaced the bend with a rubber fuel hose and clamps. Now it's leaking again further down the line. Looks like i am going to have to replace the whole line from filter to engine. ugh!

I had a little under 1/4 tank of fuel. By the time I got a couple miles down the road my fuel light came on. I assumed I had not seen the indicator correctly so I carried on my way to work as normal. At the next 2-way stop, which is quite a busy intersection, I came to a stop and then started moving across the intersection. My car shut off in the middle of the intersection. Fortunately I was able to coast across without getting hit and pull off to the side of the road. I could smell the fuel and see the trail of fuel on the road through the intersection and beyond. The technician said that they pulled the fuel pressure line off and was able to bend it and watch it crumble. At less than 130,000 this is ridiculous.

My car developed a fuel leak. When i took it to the repair shop the mechanic told me both the main fuel line and the vapor line where rusted through in multiple spots and that he had never seen anything so serious regarding a fuel system failure. I did speak to GM about this problem but they where not helpful. I had to replace the entire fuel line at a cost of 670 dollars. It seems strange that two fuel lines would rust so severely in multiple spots and just a few inches away look to be brand new. It looks like some sort of defect to me.
