My 2016 Subaru crosstrek with only 1,100 km, ( bought 31 of Mai 2016) was parked on a residential street. Started the car and wipers since rain had just begun. Drove for about 20 min, stopped the wipers for a moment and noticed an 8 inch crack going from the top/downwards on the drivers side. Never did we hear any impact on the windshield. Went immediately to the dealer where after having expressed my total dissatisfaction with the windshield's performance, did the director of sales and my salesman, did they agree to change the windshield free of charge since it is a possibility that there could be a manufacturers defect. Imagine, I only had the car for 17 days!
Did some internet research and other subaru customers have complained of sudden cracks on their windshield's too.
