unintended acceleration unintended acceleration

A terribly frightening accident happened with my Subaru on 5/26/2020 at 3:35.

We have a steep driveway and my car accelerated and the brakes went totally out on my way down to check our mail. Could do nothing to stop it... It was like the car shot forward like a bullet, Headed towards a big tree so I turned wheels slightly and landed in a group of smaller trees. Both side airbags inflated, the front one did not inflate. I was just barely able to get out of the car because of trees blocking the door.

Thought I was a goner! Thank God I'm still here! I am sore all over, hurt my hands, which we bandaged, and strained my back.

I contacted Subaru America and Prestige Subaru in Asheville about what happened in this freaky acceleration of my car and loss of brakes and they have a case #1-565610781 for the accident. I have heard NOTHING back from them! The car was totaled by our insurance company. This was surely a defective car!

I am still in shock about my almost demise.

Pulling into my garage in my apartment complex. 7 MPH vehicle had unintended acceleration and engine revved and slammed into garage wall. Brakes did not stop the car from accelerating and lunging forwards. Crash was significant and airbags did not deploy. Physically suffered blunt force trauma from hitting steering wheel and fractured, dented and chipped my sternum. Excruciating pain and admitted to ER.

The Subaru customer service rep indicates they needed the Black Box and for me to sign off to investigate the accident. However, there is no guarantee the incident will be investigated by quality control department and if it does in fact make it to that level of attention no guarantee I will get a copy of the report and what caused the issues.

This car is a leased vehicle, no opportunity to get out of the lease unless I pay $6,000 plus to terminate lease. 6 months later still in pain from the accident and have no other options but to drive a car that is unsafe or unsure why this vehicle lunged forward with out any opportunity to stop.
