neutral safety switch failed slowly, first car would not start right away then look for missing lighted indicators for transmission positons P or N, speed control light will stay light and not toggle on/off with button, then check engine light come on intermittently, new part from Subaru cost $128 with 2hrs to install ($160) Total bill $343. been a good car though bought 6yr ago at 60k mi now at 120K first time in shop for repair but needed to put another $990 into it for scheduled timing belt ,water pump, plus exhaust repair and stabilizer links, hoping we are set for another 100K
