In middle of nigh, T no weather problems, and without warning the brakes failed. Had to stand on brakes, and had to pull emergency brake to stop. And when he got out he saw the front drivers side wheel well was glowing and smoking. Both manufacturer and dealer said it was not a defect. Caller followed maintenance routine. Dealer found the brake pads were bad.
