radiator leak

This leak occurred 4 DAYS after I just got my car back from not having it for 10 days! And now going another week and counting without my car or an update on how it’s being fixed. I cannot keep being without my vehicle as I am paying for it and have 3 children to drive around. I’m at my wits end.

Atlas SE 4Motion 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,672 miles

Hole or leak in radiator at 3,672 miles. No sign of any outside object hitting grill, headlights, bumper, inner fenders, AC condenser or transmission cooler. The radiator is completely protected by all of those components. VW America and dealership refused to cover under warranty. They said something must have magically bypassed all and hit the radiator. No way that could have happened. VW is nothing short of criminals. Dealership also stated they underestimated the labor to do this job since the whole front of my Atlas had to be removed to get to the radiator. They said in the future this job will cost $1,600. Poorly designed vehicle. Unsafe. Multiple problems and I'm not even halfway to my first oil change.

Atlas S V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

The leak is so slow I can't figure out where its coming from, heading to the dealer (350 miles away) to get it fixed.

I hope VW's bumper to number warranty covers this. If not, I'll be back on here.

radiator leak, excesive fuel consumption after leak

Bought a new VW atlas, at VW Walnut Creek Ca. We were super exited. We had a sudden radiator leak at 650 miles. It splashed coolant and belts became very noisy. Fuel consumption became excessive. When Explaining problem to the VW dealer technician was vey defensive and dismissive and seemed to not want to listen. It was quite shocking. they had been so nine 3 weeks prior when buying the vehicle.
