VW is aware that there are issues with many of their cars for VW/Audi/Porsche where the timing chain gives prematurely and no recall has been done on these vehicles. There is a civil lawsuit that has been settled but the payouts have not been disseminated since it was settled in 2018. This is a major concern due to there being a vast number of makes and models with this manufacturer yet they have yet to take full responsibility for the defects in their calls. I have a 2009 VW Cc that I have yet to receive any reimbursement on costs to repair this issue. When I wrote into VW to advise them of my problem and to only ask that I be reimbursed for the costs of repair, they responded with "sorry, your warranty has expired." My car was in motion many times while I was on long distance travel or in the city and it stalled on me two times while in motion. Both times I had to have my car towed in before I found out the exact issue with it. The last time I was going over a bridge and my car would not accelerate while in traffic going at least 50 mph.

The epc light came on while driving. The car suddenly lost power, I kept having to take my foot off the gas, and then reapply, it eventually got up to a decent speed on the interstate, then suddenly lost all power regardless of what I did. Was almost hit by an 18 wheeler. This is the most dangerous and ridiculous thing to build a car that tells it to shut off when it first senses a problem. You guys almost cost me my life!!! this is the first VW I've ever owned and was told I would love it. Well, I've had it for 2 day's and I can tell you it won't stay around long if this continues to be a problem. Once I managed to get pulled over I shut the car off waited a min or so and restarted it. The light went off and the car drove like nothing ever happened. I have two small boys and this is a big concern for me. I've read post after post about this being an issue, there has to be something VW can figure out as to what is the main cause, and surely there should be a bypass to keep the car from just shutting off while driving.

2009 VW Cc, timing chain tensioner causes timing chain to slip... VW repeatedly told me the timing chain lasts the life of the car and there is no maintenance guidelines for the timing chain. They fail to advise/disclose/or suggest the tensions should be checked at any point. I have owned the vehicle since 2011 and have asked repeatedly during servicing for timing to be checked or if it needs to be checked and dealer never suggested that the tensioners should be checked as supposedly the timing chain should last life of the car. I took my car in today because the check engine light has been on every since they changed the spark plugs in my car and was told it will be $5300 to fix but suggested I just get a new motor. Why buy a used motor if this issue can happen again. VW is aware of the tensioner failure and fails to even disclose to consumers that the tensioners should be checked in any routine maintenance or preventative maintenance schedule. It is implicity stated that the timing chain lasts the life of the car but knowingly and willfully fail to disclose that the operable parts the control the timing chain can and due fail resulting in extensive damage to the vehicle. My was taken in for routine maintenance and check engine light was on. If my vehicle had been in motion and the tensioner fails, the motor will immediately fail and coupd result in serious accident.

On September 16, 2017, my wife was driving our Volkswagen Cc luxury 2009, and it lost power while in motion, she crashed into a dresser in our garage and and damaged the drywall of our home. We called our insurance because we just had purchased this car on labor day 2017, from the Audi dealership in lakeland, fl, and during the claim we found out that this open recall had not been fixed. So I contacted the Audi dealership and they retrieved with a promise to have it fixed at the VW dealership in lake land Florida, since this was the manufacturers dealership. Well today I was told by the Audi dealership that the VW dealership located on 209 S lake parker avenue, lake land, fl 33801said the NHTSA website recall was wrong and there is no recall for the vehicle so they cannot fix a vehicle without an active recall. I emailed the Audi dealership documents from your website about the recall and yet they claim the VW dealership will not fix the vehicle. I have attached a copy of the recall from your website, please let me know what my next steps should be. My wife and I have not vehicle for the last week, it is now with the Audi dealership in lakeland fl. 1recalls associated with this VIN Aug 16,2017 manufacturer recall number20ae NHTSA recall number17V509 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available summary on certain vehicles, there could be an interruption in electrical power to the fuel pump control module. Takata recall... how long are we suppose to ride around in a dangerous vehicle in harms way. The recall went out in February of this year and here it is July with no remedy. I need a loaner vehicle or a new vehicle for this death trap I have. I have a terrible gas leak in my fuel line. The gas smell has moved inside of the vehicle and no one can withstand it. Not only is the smell extremely strong, but the gas leak is even more dangerous than the faulty airbags. Insurance companies total vehicles when airbags deploy, but Volkswagen thinks it's okay for us to ride around in vehicles with faulty, life threatening airbags and faulty fuel lines. This is unacceptable on so many levels and something has to be done and be done immediately.

Went to have car service with oil change and upon leaving car was riding rough and found out that a rear main seal had broke on the engine. Had over 12 codes that showed up. After they fixed that problem got fix, the car was towed to a VW dealership where they diagnose the car with slipping of the time chain. This a horrible and I looked online with over a 100 complaints about this issue with the VW Cc and surprise that their isn't a recall on the car. Its a major issue that needs to be looked at immediately.

The epc and engine lights keep coming on even after I have the vehicle serviced. In one instance, as I was driving on the highway to the VW dealership, the car began to slow down and would not accelerate. Traffic was sparse, so I was able to safely get to the shoulder of the highway. At the VW dealership, I had 3 of the coils and 4 spark plugs replaced. On the same day that I had them replaced the epc and the engine lights came back on, there was a message on the information console stating that the engine should be serviced, and the car powered off. The car was stationary in my driveway at the time.
