The third time the car was taken in for the creaking/popping of the b-pillar, the dealership lubricated the seals as a fix. This made the issue worse, and the dealership had to replace the door seals to remedy the worsened issue. The new seals have not fixed the issue.

GLI Autobahn W/Nav 2.0L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,700 miles

The b-pillars and doors would creak/pop during normal driving conditions. The dealership replaced the front door seals to stop the problem, but this did not work. Driving the car has become utterly miserable with the body creaking right in my ear. No amount of music can mask the noise, and is seriously causing concern for the integrity of the vehicle's body.

GLI Autobahn W/Nav 2.0L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission

The b-pillars on both sides would creak and pop every time the car was moved (acceleration, braking, turning, etc). The dealership at first stated that the front passenger door (which wasn't shutting properly) was too tight and was causing stress on the body of the car, causing the creaking. They adjusted the door in an attempt to fix the noises, but this did not work. I do not feel comfortable knowing that for some reason or another, the body of my car is experiencing undue stress every time I drive it. VW seems to think this is a non-issue, but after 30+ days of trying to diagnose the issue and failing, I beg to differ. Again, I am seriously disappointed in the quality of this vehicle. My friend has purchased the exact same vehicle and has had none of the issues, except for a problem with the CV boots, that I have. After all of the issues I have had with this car within the first month of ownership, I am inclined to believe that the car simply shouldn't have left the VW factory. Some of the issues I have had could have been averted with a simple and quick visual check.
