When the window is open halfway or less, the window will roll DOWN/OPEN fully when you pull the lever to roll it UP/CLOSE it. We have the window open for fresh air, to cool the interior down when it's been sitting in the sun, etc.

This is a repeatable issue that the dealership refuses to fix. It has been repeated by our USAA Claims Adjuster as well as the Gerber Collision repair shop. Our VW dealership says it is due to a "thermal lockout" despite it happening on first attempt to demonstrate the failure.
