Volkswagen left a BAD taste in my mouth after this one. Ok, so we were driving in Nampa, ID, when the car started dying. I just revved the car up to 6000 rpms to get us moving. I got onto the freeway, when the car started dying again. I had to pull over on the freeway and turn the car off and wait. I got back onto the freeway, and we didn't have a problem. Later, I figured out that if you idle, this problem happens. I had many problems with this, until I couldn't take it anymore and bought a 2016 Toyota Corolla. This is an awful car. You will thank me in the future for posting this.

Jetta 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission

I am on my second Mass air flow sensor. Originally about a year ago, The car ran so bad it would hardly pull itself. Through a little bit of research, I found some info about the problem. I unhooked it and it smoothed right out, but engine light still on. I replaced it, and it ran fine. Well a year later The engine light is on, code 104, the car is stalling at times and idles rough at times. I have to again buy another MAF sensor.... German Junk.

Jetta GLS 2.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

When car is started it will idle until engine warms up.. then starts to hesitate... idle fluctuates all the time... and when you stop in traffic with car in drive it wants to stall out also. Had mass air flow sensor changed ($200) and ignition coil changed ($420) and still does it. about to light the son of a bitch on fire.
