Driving on the Florida turnpike..approximately 65 mph..sunroof burst...shade of sunroof was open but the sunroof was closed at the time...no rocks...nothing to suggest it has hit by something...glass was everywhere could have been a nightmare...I was riding with my son and his friend.
The contact owns a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated while driving 55 mph, the sunroof exploded. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 36,000. Updated 9/4/13
