Abs, brake light, and traction control light all come on and beep. Same known problem of all the 2009 and 2010 Jettas. Contacted vw in September of 2017. They are aware of the problem but say sorry my VIN is not included in the recall.

Talked to VW dealer and new ABS module is 700.00 without installation and programming. Could not afford that so I took module off myself and sent it to a shop in Idaho that rebuilds the modules. Got it back after 2 weeks and installed. It lasted 10 months now it is doing the same thing again. Bad ABS module all lights again and the beeping. Not sure what to do next. I believe even a new part would just likely fail again. VW needs to address this known and dangerous issue immediately.

I would defiantly not buy another VW as long as VW does not start pro actively addressing all their known ABS issues on their cars.

While driving, dash lights came on in the vehicle, speedometer has not worked, and fuel gauge is incorrect. Dash lights that came on include EBC, CEL, Steering, ABS, Traction Control, Brake, TPMS. Technician recommended replacing ABS module. I do not have a warranty anymore, but I only drove around 47,000 mileage and has never gotten in an accident. I am not sure how and why this happened, but it is unfair of me to pay almost $2,000 for a problem that was caused randomly (probably because it is a bad Volkswagen car). Also, the technician told me to give additional two days to repair the car, but it is still not fixed at all. I could not go to school and class yesterday and now I cannot go to my important lecture and work tomorrow. What should I do??

DO NOT BUY VW PERIOD

Around 95000 miles, the ABS Brake light started flashing. While at the dealership doing scheduled maintenance the technical advisor quoted me $2500 to fix the ABS module as he said the whole thing is kaput. Who needs ABS right?

I will NEVER EVER buy VW again.

failed wheel speed sensor

My girlfriend was driving the car and reported that the ABS light and ESP(traction control) light started flashing on her while moving. I kinda thought it might just be a sensor, but I took it to the dealership anyway to see if they could tell me which one. Passenger side rear. So I went to AutoZone, picked up the part for $55, and replaced it with simple hand tools in about 20 minutes in my garage. Never had a problem since.
