2020 Volkswagen Jetta Owner Comments
My four month old manual shift Jetta R-Line gave an oil change suggestion, covered every 10K. At 4000 miles I realized I had never checked oil in my new ride. Needless to say, checking cold I found the car was a quart low. Huh? Called dealer, spoke to sales guy then Service mgr. "Bring it in 8AM". Make the 22 mile drive and not on appt list. Gee thanks...end up giving me a deal on an oil change for just $70.00.
Try my best not to buy Asian manufactured cars because everybody else does! But I don't think my wife's Honda uses ANY oil that includes new or now @ 70K.
Volkswagen do use some oil, I knew that going in... maybe a quart in 4000 miles?
Only hope is when it rolled out the crankcase was not filled, or the engine tightens up now that it is broken in and no longer new.

Car has gone through 1/2 quart of oil in 3000 miles. Doubt if this car will make it to the so called 10K mile oil change without using a significant amt of oil. Plan to to take the car to the dealer for a oil usage test. Doubt if they will do anything to remedy the situation.
